Description
As this photo suggests the trail to Angels Landing is steep and arduous. It can take your breath away as easily as can the scenery. There are many switchbacks along the way where you can rest and admire the view. You will eventually reach a plateau where you are about a half mile from the top. This is probably the most difficult part of the hike and many people will simply rest here and wait for their more adventuresome companions to finish the climb.
The summit was aptly named "Angels Landing" by Frederick Fisher in 1916 by an explorer who quipped that no one but an angel could land on it"
Located in the southwestern part of the U.S. in the state of Utah in Zion National Park.
