Riverview Park in Shreveport Louisiana overlooks the beautiful Red River. Red River is the heart of this region. It separates the communities of Shreveport on one side of the river and Bossier on the opposite shore.
The park itself has water splash pads and fountains as well as a beautiful feature of architectural metal roses that light up at night. The park is dotted with public art including sculptures and statues.
There is a bike and joggers path known as Clyde Fant Bike Path that follows along the river that you can access by parking in a lot about 2miles away. Run or walk from the lot to the park and back and you have a good 4 mile exercise route. Clyde Fant was a former mayor and champion of Shreveport.
My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
