Description
Mountains as seen from the Blue Ridge Parkway near Linville North Carolina. The sky brought to my mind the lyrics from "America the Beautiful", purple mountain majesties. The song was inspired when Katherine Bates was on Pikes Peak Colorado 1893. She might just as easily have been inspired had she viewed these Blue Ridge Mountains.
