Description
When a dragon loses its cool, things are going to get hot.
Through the ages, myths have persisted through many cultures.
Eastern mythologies attribute great knowledge to them, though not winged, they were thought to have power over rain and were also the harbinger of good fortune
The winged, fire breathing dragon of Western mythology is most likely a compilation of many tales that portray the creature as a monster that needed to be destroyed or harnessed. An example of this would be the popular television show Game of Thrones in which dragons are prominently featured. The book by J.K. Rowling is also an example of Western fantasy playing up to that idea.
One pleasant exception to that would be the classic song by Peter, Paul and Mary titled "Puff the Magic Dragon" which supposedly tells the tale of a young boy and his imaginary friend.
