Artist's Description

The canyon is really a series of weather formed amphitheaters and is named after Mormon Pioneer Ebenezer Bryce.
The creation by natural forces of a landscape that is at times mystical, was believed by Paiute Indians to have been created by a God called Coyote, who was displeased with the Indians for their wasteful ways in a land, that was sparse of water and food.

Jim Cook

My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
