Description
The desert is a fascinating place. Seemingly inhospitable, yet life is all around. There are so many different kinds of cactus, trees, and plants, that when some bloom, there is an explosion of color. Wildlife is abundant as well. True, some are threatening, and others just curious looking.
This particular landscape photo was made not far from the entrance to the Santa Elena Canyon Trail.

There's an excellent feeling of stark remoteness to this piece -- a strong wilderness sense.
