Description
This picturesque church, located near the village called Hof is one of six still standing. A National Museum that still serves as a parish church.
Many buildings or shelters such as this one were constructed from thick stone and trees with turf laid on top to provide maximum protection from the Icelandic climate.
More photography from this trip to Iceland can be viewed in my collection of same name.

Quite the roof, blending the building strongly into its surroundings. Great discovery.
