Description
During the Civil War a hospital was set up near what is now Bristol Tennessee and Bristol Virginia. Some 300 mostly unknown soldiers were buried here that died during battles or died later from wounds suffered there.Veterans from other wars are buried here as well. There is also a section of the cemetery that was used for slaves. East Hill Cemetery is on the border of Bristol Tennessee and Bristol Virginia. The scene is a composite of infrared images of mine. More of my photos of the Civil War as well as from the state of Tennessee can be seen in my collections here in FAA.
