Fall in Northeast Tennessee is as beautiful I hoped it would be. Having just moved here from Northeast Pennsylvania I'm used to seeing colorful fall foliage having lived so close to the Pocono Mountains which is well known as a destination this time of year. This photo was taken while on my way to Roan Mountain State Park having first passed it by but had to turn around pull over and take this photo. My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
