The first image is of Lincoln's bust which sits atop the Lincoln Address Memorial in the Soldiers' National Cemetery in Gettysburg Pennsylvania, The monument one of Gettysburg's most popular is a tribute to both Lincoln and his famous speech. The background of this image is of a section of Soldiers' National Cemetery where more than 3500 Union soldiers are buried. The Battle of Gettysburg, fought from July 1 to July 3, 1863, came about because General Robert E. Lee marched his Army of Northern Virginia into Pennsylvania in late June 1863 after a victory obtained in Chancellorsville. The battle took place over the first 3 days in July 1863. There were more casualties suffered here than those from the entire war.

My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. As for your native American print were very involved with the Lakota sioux tribe in S Dakota. My big brother was an honorary brother of the Lakota Sioux for 25 years . He was a sun dancer and the real deal we lost him a few years back misdiagnosed with MS and it was pancreatic cancer. I inherited native art off the reservation.
Jim Cook replied:
Thank you so much for visiting my photos. Much like you, I love history., especially about Native Americans.

funny i posted Lincoln in one of my groups and they featured it.Its Gettysburg by the college he’s sitting writing and editing his speech “ The Gettysburg address “Ive been traveling the Civil War battlefields with my son fir 8 years . He was 13 and already had an expertise in CW studies . 8 years later , Hes a Senior in College, 40 battlefields, national cemeteries, sites etc. 14,000 photos . Hes an authentic campaigner with the liberty Rifles. 8 custom made uniforms $1500 each without kepis or gear . He does federal and confederate he’s an expert artillerist . A 5 th NY e, 1 st rock bridge artillery battery, He represents the 95 th NY who are boys from our area of Putmam county NY ., He is a guide at Bristoe Station/ Kettle run same battlefield. Now i have a love affair which artillery which i see art in antique weapons. The jacket and sword at Gaines Mills were his , i have another there. of a drum .
