Description
This memorial was commisioned by the parents of Max Rose. A 19 year old student who was killed in an automobile accident. He was buried on what would have been his 20th birthday. A local sculptor from Memphis TN designed it so that the young man is being guided to heaven by an angel while his parents try to keep him with them. Photo was taken while visiting Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis TN. A fascinating cemetery on the National Register of Historic Places it has many more amazing statues and stories of the approximately 75000 people buried there.

The sepia tones of this image are absolutely perfect for highlighting the statue and its characters.
