Description
Early morning as snow was falling I snapped this scene before sidewalk was cleaned. We purchased home after selling another that had been destroyed then restored after flooding in 2011. Coupled with the fact that our children had all grown and moved away, leaving us in a home to big for just the two of us.
This home fit our new circumstances. Originally built as a farm house now over 100 years old it was in need of an update. First on the renovation list was the exterior facelift. Being a painting contractor for over 30 years this phase went smoothly. The interior presented much more of a challenge. Being that home is over 100 years old and was a working farm house meant that electric, plumbing, room configurement all had to be addressed. All that being said it took six months of labor and no kitchen before we realized our dream home.
Fortunately work was completed before winter arrived and we then able to enjoy snowy days like this from the comfort of our home.
Update, sold this home and relocated to Tennessee to be closer to ever growing population of grandchildren.

Your Pennsylvania gallery is quite intriguing - but I have to say it is this house image that has captured my heart . So charming. Hope TN life is treating you warmer.
