Artist's Description

Near the top of Clinch Mountain Virginia is Hidden Valley Lake. This October morning, the dense cold air sinks and drains into the valley allowing fog to develop. The phenomenon is known as Valley Fog and most often occurs during the fall and winter.
Hidden Valley Lake is a manmade reservoir lying within the ridge and valley section of the Appalachian Mountains. Known as a great fishing site but people using the lake for this purpose should keep in mind that that most of the reservoir is actually in Tennessee and you better have the appropriate license for whichever state you happen to be fishing in.
