Description
Old west wagons made their way from the mountains in the east as pioneers pushed ever westward. This particular wagon was spotted in the small village of Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley California. It is also very near to the dunes at Mesquite Flats, a popular destination especially for photographers.
These horse drawn wagons were used for work, leisure, going to town for supplies or a Sunday ride to church.
There were many variations of the wagon, ranging from buckboards, stagecoaches and the more widely known covered wagons that transported families from the mountainous East to the Plains of the Midwest and eventually to California.

I feel as if I have stepped into an old Western movie, and at some point John Wayne will come swaggering by.
