Description
Fly fishing for trout on the South Holston River, near Weir Dam. As men and women reach the age of retirement, it is essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This can be attained by devoting more time to those hobbies or sports that once were only able to be enjoyed on vacations or days off.
This location very near Bristol Tennessee, only 30 minutes away offers fun, relaxing opportunities for some excellent fishing as well as hiking.
The trail on Osceola Island is especially nice for hiking and just enjoying nature. Early morning hikers will find many scenes like this one, plus deer and other wildlife.
The scenery changes as often as the water level rises and falls with dam management. The changing seasons will give photographers much to work with as well.
