Artist's Description

Scranton City Hall located on the corners of Washington and Mulberry in the downtown section of that city was built in 1888.
Designed by architects Edwin L. Walter and Frederick Lord Brown.
It is a limestone ashlar Victorian Gothic Revival building with sandstone trim.
Currently houses the Mayor’s office and other executive officers, city clerk, comptroller and police chief and those who work under their immediate supervision.
A bridge from second story connects to the fire department headquarters facing Mulberry St.
Since it was built at same time and by same architects in same style they were listed together when added to National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
