Once the fishing capital of the world until an earthquake struck. It never returned to its former prominence.
Today it is the out of the way destination for tourists and I say out of the way since the only way to it is by plane or boat. Once on land you can wander the streets or rent bicycles and see the sights that way since it still is a fishing village and there are many photo opportunities to be had.
There are occasional street vendors selling items like handmade jewelry and several shops offering souvenirs.

My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use.
