Artist's Description

Near the town of Kingsport Tennessee is the Sensabaugh Tunnel. A national legend, it is said to be haunted.
Built in 1920 and named for Edward Sensabaugh who owned the land it was built on.
There are 3 different stories as to why its haunted. First is that a homeless guest tried to rob the Sensabaughs and when confronted grabbed a child, made good his escape but drowned the child in the tunnel. It gains some credibility since a stream runs through it , especially after heavy rain. The second legend has Sensabaugh going mad, killing his family and throwing their bodies in the tunnel. The most likely origin is that later in life, he grew annoyed with teens who used the tunnel as location for parties. He would emit a scary scream at one end of tunnel to frighten them away.
The graffiti, though colorful is more akin to tagging than art. I've been to concrete city in Nanticoke PA and been impressed by some of the nameless talent seen presented on this abandoned miners town.

I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
