Description
Styx from Greek Mythology was a place or border between heaven and hell, the living and the dead. Sometimes called Hades, which in Greek translates to Hate. The river Styx was used to transport souls to the afterlife.
I've taken some liberty here, in that this photo was made on the South Carolina coast on Bulls Island's, Boneyard Beach not far from Charleston. This location is accessible only by boat and is part of the Cape Romaine National Wildlife Refuge
Originally composed using a camera converted to Infrared. Then used software to achieve this final version.
More of my art from this area as well as other locations can be viewed here in FAA at https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/1-jim-cook.html
