Description
An infrared image taken while at Sunset Beach Tarpon Springs Florida. It is said to have fantastic views of sunsets but I can only imagine that to be true as it never materialized due to weather. However I still enjoyed the scenery. This particular scene was enhanced by using a Sony A 6000 Mirrorless camera converted to infrared. The camera sees things as they are but are outside the range of the human eye. Colors, textures, grass, leaves plants and foliage as well as human skin, and other objects will reflect IR light in different, unique and interesting ways. Colors and tones are added and or adjusted in Photoshop. My body of work increasingly has become surreal, somewhat fantasy driven and somewhere just outside the realm of traditional photography. I am composing imagery that at times can be considered quirky but always interesting and timeless. This image stands out in a crowd and looks terrific on canvas as well as on tote bags, throw pillows and the other fine products offered by FAA. Gorgeous. I don't think I've seen an infrared photograph where the leaves have been blue before. Nice work. l/f
