Description
This sunset was one of the more memorable ones that I remember. I was photographing a pond nearby when the sky started its lightshow so I made my way over and got this photo before the night closed in.
The location in the state of New Jersey was a military bomb practice range. Fighter jets including A-10's and F-16's from the East Coast Air National Guard used the area for practice bombing and strafing.
This secluded and remote area is situated in the heart of the Pine Barrens and is just one of many scenic areas that the Pine Barrens offer. More such photos from this beautiful area can be viewed in my collections (titled New Jersey) here in FAA

Definitely, as you wrote in your description, a more memorable sunset than most. Incredible color, glorious clouds, a glow that emanates throughout.
