The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This image was taken using Kodak's Infrared Film, HIE 25. Taken from shore alongside the Susquehanna River in Tunkhannock Pennsylvania USA.
It was taken just after a light shower and the light helped create the attractive mood.
When I first viewed this image the word Valhalla came to mind. Valhalla was a mythological place a majestic hall actually where half of those slain in battle were chosen by the god Odin to go to. The other half were sent to the goddess Freya's field Folkvangr.

My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
