Description
Turkeys became a bit agitated when I asked what they were doing Thanksgiving day.
As you wind your way along the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, you are likely to come across a bear or two but even more likely are these wild turkeys. The trail offers ample opportunity to view nature in all its glory. Several waterfalls are within hiking distance as well as the more easily accessible Place of a Thousand Drips which cascades down to nearly an arms length from your car window.
The trail is a 6.7 mile, one way road that ends at Elys Village. Not far from Gatlinburg Tennessee within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Road itself is narrow, and sometimes cliffs make it seem even more so. One reason why the road is closed in winter.
Photo is perfect as a gift card or even will serve nicely as an invitation to your Thanksgiving Dinner.
