The predecessors of today�s miners would tell you of the sacrifices made by so many doing one of the world�s most difficult and dangerous jobs. Nearly every miner�s family could tell you of someone who died in a mine or was severely injured. Not to mention the likelihood of suffering from Black Lung Disease. My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR.
