Trap Pond State Park in the state of Delaware is a lovely place that is so enticing in its beauty that I was surprised having it nearly to myself. I went camping there at beginning of week so we wouldn't have too many people to contend with during the Pandemic. Turned out to be a wise decision because as I learned later the park was at near capacity by weekend.
Trap Pond water was calm, tranquil and made kayaking and photographing easier than expected. Small stand of cypress trees near middle of pond are first trees you come too and are fun to swing in and around while photographing them and the different birds that use them.
If you keep going, you come up to these trees in photo that are going to lead you into a fresh water swamp with different paths or avenues to explore. It was once an extensive wetland. My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use.
