Description
The genesis of this image was the initial photograph taken while on a trip to Death Valley California. Travelling one day just outside of the National Park we drove to this location known as the Alabama Hills located in Lone Pine California. The hills and fantastic looking rock formations are all within sight of the Sierra Nevada. The area has been a favorite of Hollywood TV shows and films. The Lone Ranger television series was filmed here as was "The Three Godfathers" starring John Wayne. When exploring this area the formations are going to inspire your mind to imagine all sorts of scenarios especially at sunset when the light is playing upon them. For this image I imagined a giant slug like creature from another planet where the sky was filled with dancing lights much like the aurora borealis. More of my art from this area can be viewed in my collections here in FAA.
