Riverview Park in Shreveport Louisiana overlooks the beautiful Red River. Red River is the heart of this region. It separates the communities of Shreveport on one side of the river and Bossier on the opposite shore. Casinos are scattered throughout the two river towns and have had a lot to do with the community development of the Riverfront development, a much happier circumstance than what occurred in Atlantic City N.J.
Riverview Park has as I mentioned the view of the river along with a railroad that spans it. Almost directly across from the park is the Golden Horseshoe Casino. The exterior does resemble the color gold particularly as the sun sets in the west and highlights the building in warm light. The park itself has water splash pads and fountains as well as a beautiful feature of architectural metal roses that light up at night. The park is dotted with public art including sculptures and statues.

My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
