Artist's Description

Another observation while traveling through this beautiful European country called Iceland is how colorful, so many of the buildings and homes are.
The town of Akureyri is no different. Walking the streets, colors attract your eyes to the pleasing combinations. Located in Northern Iceland, it is nicknamed the capital of Northern Iceland while the more populous city, Reykjavik, is called the capital of Southern Iceland.

My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
