All through nature we see many things that we sometimes ascribe human qualities to. This is called humanizing or personifying an inanimate object.
Pareidolia (/p�rɨˈdoʊliə/ parr-i-DOH-lee-ə) is a psychological phenomenon involving a stimulus (an image or a sound) wherein the mind perceives a familiar pattern where none actually exists.
Oftentimes it will evoke religious themes and this is called hierophany or a manifestation of the sacred.
But this image just seems to resemble an act of relaxation as if Mother Nature enjoys a good sunset as much as we do.
On the other hand though it brings to mind the following lines from John Milton's poem "Paradise Lost"
"Earth felt the wound; and Nature from her seat,
Sighing, through all her works, gave signs of woe.

My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
