Artist's Description

Puckett Cabin. Mrs. Puckett became a midwife after the age of 50. Lived to be 102 years old and helped deliver over 1000 babies. Scenes like this are common along the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway. Reminiscent of life in Appalachia. Sad footnote to her life is that none of her 24 children lived beyond infancy.
