Artist's Description

Sunlight on water of Beaverdam Creek in the Backbone Recreation Area of the Cherokee National Forest created this dappled patchwork of colors, shade and light.
Wonderful area to just get out and hike a bit or settle down with a picnic lunch and listen to the water flowing.
Not far from Abingdon Virginia, the area lays claim to the shortest tunnel in the world, a great creek for fishing and trails for hiking, some of which are a bit difficult because of inclines.
