Artist's Description

Cornerstone for this church in Scranton Pennsylvania was laid in 1892. Dedication service occurred following year. Presbyterian church actually had formed back in 1875 with a congregation of 39 members.
The building now vacant for many years had changed hands and denominations several times before closing in 1985.
Memories abound for residents of Scranton's Green Ridge Section. The Church made it known they were open to all. A coffee house inside was a popular place as was the Bible School.
Scranton PA is home to some amazing architecture. This building is but one that still stands from a long time past.
