Great Bend National Park features some incredible rock formations. One of its more amazing ones is Balanced Rock. To access it you will have a moderate hike with a challenging last 1/4 mile to the top over a landscape of boulders. The entire hike is about 2.2 miles round trip. You will start where you park your vehicle near the trailhead, then hike over a gravel wash to the aforementioned last 1/4 mile to the top. The views are fantastic and if there for sunrise or a sunset, most likely you will be in for a treat.
