Fountain of the Pantheon was designed and sculpted from marble around 1575 and was commissioned by Pope Gregory VIII. It is located in the Piazza della Rotonda in Rome Italy. Piazza translated means city square. Situated just outside of the Pantheon or more formally known as the Church of Santa Maria Rotonda.
Over the years the Italian sculpture has seen many modifications and changes. In 1711 Pope Clement XI asked to add the Egyptian obelisk and four decorative dolphins at its base. 1886 the original marble figures were removed to the museum of Rome. They were replaced with copies.
My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional use of a camera photographing scenes of landscapes and everyday life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It was there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
