Description
In this photo Grandmother and Grandchild seem to be studying each other in careful consideration. And in fact that is probably true especially for the infant. A newborn can see very clearly anything that is approximately 8 to 15 inches away. A small child like this would rather look at a round face instead of an object. Light and dark edges are especially attractive to them which may be at work here in this photograph.
This portrait was taken using a Nikon DSLR 7000. I did not use a flash but took advantage of the natural light coming through a window. The sunlight also kept baby warm while taking this picture.

Stunning, yet stark, portrayal. Tells a very poignant story without saying a word! Nice job!
