Description
Photo was taken on a recent trip to Maine with friends from a local photography club (http://www.northeastphotographyclub.org).Four photographers and our wives travelled first to York Beach to get some shots of Nubble Lighthouse. The next day we travelled North to Rockport where we stayed for remainder of trip and travelled daily to different destinations. After the daily trips we returned to our rental which had an artist studio where we could look at the days work and process them exchanging ideas and tips for the next days adventure. This photo was taken while on an excursion to Deer Isle Maine where we set up our tripods from the small fishing village of Stonington to various scenes like this along the coast to the bridge back to the mainland. Homes like this are no longer allowed to be built so close to the shore. I'm sure this one though has provided many memorable scenes through the years of watching approaching storms, spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Just to walk out your door and walk along the beach to find natures little treasures, weathered artifacts that highlight the art resulting from abrasion, bleaching, immersion and drying is an immeasurable delight. I will be adding further photos from this trip and they will be viewable in a gallery on my FAA website.
